Aborting a Change Order
A change order can be manually aborted at any time. Similar to delete, aborting a change order stops all activities, and the change order can no longer be edited. However, aborted records are retained as historical references, whereas deleted records are completely removed from the system. Only the change order owner or an actor with change order supervisory rights can abort a change order.
Aborting a change order is not the same as closing a change order as the activities, such as change tasks and reviews, were not completed. Aborting a change order:
- Stops all tasks, approval, and review routing. Any records routed from the change order are removed from the Portal Page.
- Aborts all tasks and reviews. The change task and review statuses change to ABORT.
- Aborts the signature. The reason for aborting the change order can be seen from the review in the change order.
- From the Change Order record, click Action > Abort.
Result: The Confirm Abort Operation window is displayed.
- Click OK.
Result: The Status of the Change Order record is now ABORTED.
